    Admission Policy

      ADMISSION POLICY

Admissions at the Pre-primary level are based only on interaction with candidates' parents/guardians and observation of the candidates by teachers. Candidates for admission to Classes I and above sit for a written test first and on being considered fit to go into the next level, appear for an interview along with their parents/guardians. A candidate's basic skills in English and Mathematics are evaluated through the written test, as required in the class to which admission is sought. The interviews are designed to get a measure of the candidates' interest and competence in various activities as also to ascertain whether their families are in tune with the Gurugram Public School way of thinking and doing things.

Age requirement: Subject to availability of seats Gurugram admits all students within the normal range of ability. Normal minimum ages as on 1 June in the year of entry are as follows:

      Residency:

Currently, Gurugram is a school for day students. There are no boarding facilities or provisions for students whose parents live and work outside of Gurgaon .

      Class size:
The maximum class size is 25 except in Nursery where there is a maximum of 20 children in a class. As a benefit to Management and Staff members, an additional 2 seats are allotted to their children.

Medium of Instruction: English is the medium of instruction in the School.

Applications: Application for admission is to be made on the Admission Form.

Assessment for admission will be followed by an interview and will take place on a first-come-first-served basis only if there are seats available.

Since the number of applicants is far more than the number of seats available a waiting list system will operate and parents are strongly advised to apply for admission as early as possible.

Parents/ guardians must furnish all the information/documentation required by the Admissions Department for a proper assessment.

Students are accepted throughout the year, but will be placed in a Class according to the determination by the administration and relevant staff. The Principal's decision in such matters will be final.
